Tank refurbishment by Tankbau GmbH of a fuel storage tank of the US Air Force in Incirlik/Turkey. The 50 year old underground steel tank has a storage capacity of 2,000 m³ and is intended for the storage of jet fuel. The vertical cylindric steel tank is located on a concrete raft foundation but has no concrete shell on the outside. Because of the heavy corrosion a reinforced shotcrete wall and a steel fiber concrete bottom was executed on the inside of the tank. The GRP-lining according to the tba-system was applied in May/June 2006.
